This class will introduce students to the various instruments in the marimba ensemble, look at basic mallet technique, and briefly examine the roots of this music in North America. Students will then learn various parts (including singing!) and an arrangement for "Manhanga", a Zimbabwean folk song that means "Pumpkins".
