Students will learn basic parts as well as how to develop the structure of the piece Chikende. Based on a singing song, Musekiwa's arrangement provides an excellent opportunity to learning something about the rhythmic subtleties of Zimbabwean music. Chikende means “Drainage Pit” and is sung while working in the fields.
